Darlinghurst

Our Darlinghurst site operates as an outpatient facility for surgical procedures and dermatology clinics.  We conduct UV treatments, laser treatments, patch testing and other dermatology procedures/treatments on site.

We have state-of-the-art facilities to conduct dermatology clinical trials under the expert guidance of our Principal Investigator, Dr Kuchel. All trial activities are conducted in compliance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Australian Code for Responsible Conduct in Research, and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Clinical Trials Consulting Room
Clinical trials participant visits are conducted in a dedicated clinical trials consulting room, which provides a quiet private space for obtaining informed consent and conducting trials related assessments.

The trials consulting room is equipped with the following calibrated equipment:

• Weighing scale
• Stadiometer
• Blood pressure monitor
• Tympanic Thermometer

Trial’s Laboratory and Pharmacy
The pharmacy includes a lockable pharmacy fridge monitored by a 3-point calibrated auto-temperature logger. The fridge is attached to a back-up power (uninterrupted power supply) unit. Our pharmacy is managed by our clinical trials team.

The laboratory is equipped with:

• Refrigerated benchtop centrifuge
• 37°C incubator
• -30°C freezer

Trial’s Office
Our trials office is exclusively accessed by our clinical trials team. All trials related documents are stored securely in lockable cabinets in the trial’s office.

Off-site Assessments

Imaging Services
All imaging assessments (X-rays, MRIs etc) are conducted at St Vincent’s Hospital (SVH), which is  km from our facility. Our trials patients are referred to SVH for X-rays and other scan assessments.

Local Laboratory Assessments
For local laboratory assessments, we use Douglas Hanly Moir (DHM) laboratory. DHM is accredited laboratory that operates across multiple locations and uses standard reference ranges for blood tests.

Audiology Assessments
We refer our trials patients to Precision Hearing (X km from our facility) for audiometry tests.

Westmead

Our Westmead site operates as an outpatient dermatology facility and conducts surgical procedures, UV treatments, laser treatments and dermatology clinics.

Clinical Trials Consulting Room
Our dedicated clinical trials clinic room at Westmead is located on level 2. The clinic room offers a quiet private space for obtaining informed consent and conducting trials related assessments.

The clinic rooms are equipped with the following calibrated equipment:

• Weighing scale
• Stadiometer
• Blood pressure monitor
• Tympanic Thermometer

Trial’s Pharmacy
Our trial’s pharmacy is located on level 3 and is exclusively accessible to our trials team members. The pharmacy includes a locked fridge monitored by a 3-point calibrated auto-temperature logger. The fridge is attached to a back-up power (uninterrupted power supply) unit. We also have a room temperature incubator for medication storage. The incubator is locked, has a UPS back-up and is monitored by a calibrated auto-temperature logger.

The pharmacy area also includes an UPS-backed -30°C freezer, which is used for storing biological samples. Our pharmacy is managed by our clinical trials team.

Trial’s Laboratory
Our trial’s laboratory is located on level 2 and used by the trials team to process blood samples. The area equipped with:

• Refrigerated centrifuge
• 37°C incubator

Trial’s Office
On level 3, we have a trials office, which is a secure space exclusively accessible to our clinical trials team. The locked cabinets in the room are used to store trials related documents.

Off-site Assessments

X-rays
We have a third party contract with PRP Diagnostic Imaging, which is next door to our facility. Our trials patients are referred to PRP for X-rays and other scan assessments.
