Overview

Dr Phaethon Karagiannis is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and an Australian-trained Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over 14 years of medical experience, including nine years exclusively in plastic surgery. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne, where he also completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy. He later completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Sydney.

Dr Karagiannis has undertaken extensive post-fellowship training, completing five dedicated fellowships. These include a prestigious microsurgery fellowship at the Royal London Hospital, an aesthetic surgery fellowship at St Luke’s Hospital in Sydney, and three further subspecialty fellowships in London, Belgium, and Italy focused on advanced facial rejuvenation and facelift techniques.

With a special interest in aesthetic surgery of the face and nose, Dr Karagiannis is known for his meticulous attention to detail, refined surgical technique, and commitment to achieving natural, balanced outcomes tailored to each patient. His practice combines evidence-based care with a deep understanding of anatomy and aesthetics, developed through years of specialised training in leading surgical centres across Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe.
