His primary interests lie in melanoma prevention and the chemo- and radio-prevention of skin cancers. For more than 20 years, his clinical focus has been on naevus surveillance, with a particular emphasis on 2D and, since 2015, 3D imaging.

At The Skin Hospital, Darlinghurst, Dr Schaider leads the Spot Check Imaging and Consultation Service, which provides advanced 2D whole-body photography and digital naevus surveillance. This comprehensive program supports early detection and ongoing monitoring of melanoma and other skin cancers through state-of-the-art imaging, dermatologist-led review, and tailored follow-up for high-risk patients. By combining cutting-edge technology with expert clinical assessment, the service enables accurate, timely diagnosis and contributes to improved outcomes in skin cancer prevention and care.
