Overview

Dr Bruna Gouveia is a medical doctor, fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology and PhD graduate from the University of Sydney, with dual expertise in melanoma and hair loss. She is highly skilled in the diagnosis and non-invasive management of lentigo maligna, particularly on the face and other cosmetically sensitive areas. An expert in confocal microscopy, Dr Gouveia uses this advanced imaging technique to map pigmented lesions with precision, helping avoid unnecessary surgery whenever possible.

In addition to her work in skin cancer, Dr Gouveia is passionate about cosmetic dermatology. She treats acne, rosacea, pigmentation, and hair loss with a tailored, evidence-based approach. Her treatments include capillary mesotherapy, laser therapy, chemical peels, and microneedling — all designed to improve skin and hair health with natural-looking results.

Dr Gouveia is known for her warm, thoughtful care and commitment to achieving the best outcomes for each patient. She consults at The Skin Hospital, where she blends medical expertise with aesthetic insight to deliver comprehensive skin and hair solutions.

We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which The Skin Hospital operates. For thousands of years, these lands have been cared for by Indigenous communities and their ancestors. We recognise and appreciate their ongoing connection to Country, culture, and community. We also pay our respects to the elders, past and present, of these communities, as well as to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who have contributed to the cultural heritage of this country.
