Total Body Mapping

Overview

Total body mapping often referred to as Total Body Imaging, is where high-definition photographs are taken of your entire body systematically, creating a map of your moles (“body map”) to monitor even the slightest changes over time.

The Skin Hospital has installed new state-of-the-art total body mapping at Darlinghurst. The automated total body imaging with the body mapping software is fast and accurate. It provides a baseline for a detailed comparison that can be monitored year on year.

Whole body imaging is one of the most advanced and accurate methods in helping to diagnose melanomas and other skin cancers early. It is a tool used by our dermatologists as it provides a baseline for future checks so even the slightest change in a lesion can be detected.
