We are proud to administer the registrar training program on behalf of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, operating within national accreditation standards. Registrars rotate through metropolitan, regional, and rural clinics across the state, gaining experience with a wide range of conditions and patient needs. This balance of academic learning and hands-on practice prepares them to deliver exceptional care in any setting.
We also support international medical graduates (IMGs), dermatologists who completed their specialist training overseas and come to Australia to undertake additional supervision and upskilling as part of the pathway to practising dermatology locally. At The Skin Hospital, IMGs are supported through structured supervision, tailored training, and clinical placements, helping strengthen both the local workforce and global dermatology networks.
Dermatology remains one of the smaller medical specialties in Australia, and building workforce capacity is critical. As a not-for-profit organisation, all profit is reinvested into registrar training, clinical trials, and research, reinforcing our long-term commitment to education and better patient outcomes.
